My little boy left us on February 4th at 11:13 PM.
He came into our family late in 1997. I saw an ad for a red min pin puppy in the news paper. We drove 173 miles to pick up the little red kid. The old lady we bought him from said he was born in a barn with his brothers and sisters. He was the last to go. He was a happy little pup always hungry and always curious. He had a gained a little brother, Bailey, in 1998 and took care of him.

Its been almost 2 weeks since I put my friend to rest. My companion of 14 great years. Sydney you were just the most precious friend a person could ask for. A dog with the best attitude, the cutest way about you. Everyone that met you treated you like a person. You just had this human like quality. Not a day will pass that I won't think about you. I remember picking you out at the Breeder - you were a naughty little kitten - you loved to chew on necklaces and still did right to the end.

You came into our lives 2 years ago as a stray. The excitement and joy your brought to us stayed with us until your very last breath. I will never forget that call at 7am after not getting much sleep because you and your buddy max decided to go on an all night long journey. I remember the day I seen the ad in the paper for pure breed Jack Russell puppies. Me & Daddy called the number, & went to meet all of your family. I knew you were mine the first minute I saw you. On one spring day in 1997, I was picking up a part at a salvage yard when the owner told me his cat has just had kittens. I returned 6 weeks later and inquired about these kittens was was told there was one left. Under the soda machine he pulled out "Gizmo". His white paws were all dirty and he didn't seem to happy to be pulled out from under that machine. But I fell in love with this furry creature.

To my Smiler(Shadow) you are so deeply missed by Mom and Dad, there has not been a day we haven't shed a tear for you or thought about bout you, I have a aching heart knowing that your not here to snuggle with.
